Positive Behaviour for Learning
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) provides programmes and initiatives for parents, teachers, and schools to promote positive behaviour in children and young people.
Strengthening relationships and creating more positive school environments helps remove barriers to engagement and improves students' chances to achieve.
PB4L includes:
- individual, classroom, early childhood centre, and whole school approaches for creating a climate where positive behaviour and learning flourish
- ways to address bullying behaviours
- how to help children and young people feel safe and secure and how to defuse a challenging situation
- training and programmes available to educators and parents
- information on how the Ministry of Education and Resource Teachers: Learning and Behaviour can help and support educators.
Positive behaviour can be learnt!
Every child and young person needs at least one competent and caring adult and to experience success. You and your school or centre can be the difference.
